Mochakk – Mixmag Lab Moçambique | Mixmag cover mix

Brazilian DJ, producer, label owner, and overall dance music phenomenon Mochakk makes his debut in The Mixmag Lab, connecting the strong cultural ties between Brasil and Moçambique in the first-ever Mixmag Lab Maputo.

To celebrate our latest Mixmag Cover Star, Mochakk delivers 100 minutes of jazz and funk-inspired music via a deep and soulful house set at the intimate, 100-capacity community venue X-Hub.

While in the capital, Mochakk also hosted a workshop and with Bridges For Music, a charity cultivating grass roots music and artists, inspiring the next generation of Mozambique’s DJs and producers. In keeping with supporting local talent – this Mixmag Lab was also shot and edited by a local team.

We spent a week with Mochakk in the Mozambique capital to capture his story through the latest cover feature and a short documentary highlighting his journey so far, also shot and edited by a local video team in Maputo.

From Brazil to Mozambique, this one will go down in history.
